Peak Power & Performance Ceiling

United States

Martin Borgmeier is the 2022 World Long Drive Champion, crowned in Mesquite, Nevada with a 426-yard drive in the finals against Bryson DeChambeau. He is regarded as one of the greatest drivers of the golf ball in history, with a personal best competitive drive of 484 yards, a peak ball speed of 239.3 mph, and an exhibition drive measured at 520 yards.

Born in Paderborn, Germany, Martin took an unconventional path to the sport. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and a Master of Science in Business Psychology, then worked corporate roles in sales and management before colleagues noticed how far he was outdriving them on weekend rounds. He turned professional in 2018, won the European Long Drive Championship that same year, and has been redefining what is possible off the tee ever since.

What sets Martin apart is the science behind the speed. He is a recognized expert in biomechanics, swing mechanics, and launch data, working with technologies like TrackMan and FlightScope to teach golfers how to translate world-class power principles into their own games. Inside the DRVN app, Martin coaches players who want serious, sustainable distance gains.
